Rue Rodo

Information: There are currently street works undergone on the rue Rodo. The traffic flows in one direction, from the quai Charles-Page to the rue Hugo-de-Senger.

The Rue Rodo is a short quiet street situated within the neighbourhood of Plainpalais, in the city of Geneva. Walking from the Rue Dancet to the Quai Charles-Page at the Arve river you can particularly find the gas station Dancet which offers gasoline, a car wash and a shop, the Venusia Erotic Parlour and the puppet theatre “Les Marionnettes de Genève”. A Geneva celebrity of whom we don’t disclose the name to maintain her privacy also lives there.

The street’s name is derived from Auguste de Niederhäusern (aka Rodo), the major Swiss sculptor of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, who introduced Rodin’s art in Switzerland.
